An order didn't reach Shopify
Why it happens and how to send it again.
1 min read · updated 1 October 2026
Paid orders are sent to Shopify automatically. When that fails, Get started lists it under Needs your attention, and the order shows the reason.
Common causes
- The Shopify connection expired or lost permissions. Reconnect under Settings → General → Shopify with a token that can write orders.
- The product isn't linked to a Shopify variant. Import the product from Shopify instead of creating it by hand, or link it again.
- The variant was deleted or is out of stock in Shopify.
Send it again
Open the order and press the retry button. It's sent again with the same items, including order bumps and upsells.
The payment is never affected: the shopper paid and the money is in your Stripe account, whether or not Shopify received the order.
