A listicle is an article built around a numbered list: 5 reasons thousands switched to…. It works because it's easy to scan, and every reason is a small argument for your product.

The structure

  1. Headline with a number and a promise.
  2. A short intro: two or three sentences about the problem.
  3. The reasons, each with an image, a bold one-line claim and a short explanation.
  4. Proof: reviews or a comparison with the alternative.
  5. The offer, with a guarantee and a clear button.

Writing good reasons

How many reasons?

Three for a quick read and a cheap product, five for most products, seven when the product is more expensive and people need more convincing. FunnelOne has a template for each.
